Theme 5: Mockumentary

Our boys from Group Magic 4 started work on the mockumentary already in January and now it is finished. They made a short film Time capsule, which takes place at our school. Well done, boys! Of course, we must thank also all the actors and their mentor Mojca Butinar Možina.

Your task now is to watch the film and decide whether it really took place (or not?)???

Enjoy:)

Presentations of MAGIC in the school library

On 23rd April, 2015, we organised a Comenius day, which took place in the school library. We presented our work and the visit to Greece to other students and teachers of our school. The students who took part in the meeting in Greece prepared various videos, photo presentations, Prezi presentations of Thessaloniki and Athens, etc. and showed them to their classmates and other students and teachers. They also presented their work on Theme 4, the products of the workshops that took place in Thessaloniki and the mockumentary: Time capsule. The mockumentary was also shown at the meeting in Greece and it was prepared by our group Magic 4.

Project meeting in Greece (22nd - 28th March 2015)

We had a great week in Thessaloniki and Athens. We all learned and saw a lot, we also worked hard at all the workshops, met old friends and made some new ones... All of us came home richer in various respects, so thank you Greece!

Theme 4: Sensationalism in the media

In January we started working on Theme 4: Sensationalism in the media. We discussed the reliability of the media and different sources, talked about the difference between tabloids and broadsheet newspapers, students looked at different stories and how they were presented in various newspapers and TV news. Some groups started preparing presentations, others wrote short essays about the topic and researched what the opinion and media awareness are like in their classes.

We used information from the following websites (and some others):
